BEVERAGES

Fruit Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

1 small banana, coarsely chopped

1 (16 ounce) can pineapple juice

3 tablespoons coconut milk

1 tablespoon Agave

A good handful of ice

DIRECTIONS

Slice banana, place in blender, blend in ice,   pour in pineapple juice, coconut milk and Agave; blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve.

Hot Chocolate

1 coffee cup, milk, rice milk or soymilk

1 teaspoon unsweetened coco

1/8 teaspoon Agave

mix milk, coco and Agave heat in i small pot on stove until hot and serve

 

Ginger Ale

The ale tastes best when the syrup concentrate is allowed to sit in the refrigerator overnight before using.

Syrup concentrate for the ale:

3 1/2 cups water

4-inch long piece of ginger, peeled & chopped

2 Tbsp vanilla flavoring

3 tsp lemon flavoring (non-alcoholic)

1/2 Tbs. Agave (or to taste)

Serving the Ale:

Use 1 cup sparkling water or club soda per serving

Directions:

Boil down the ginger in water for 10 minutes. Strain out ginger pieces and pour ginger juice into jar. Add vanilla and lemon flavorings and Agave or Stevia (to taste). Let cool and store in refrigerator as a syrup concentrate. Add 1/8 - 1/4 cup of syrup to 6-8 oz of sparkling water and serve.

 

Cranberry Party Punch

1 (64-ounce) bottle Ocean Spray® Cranberry Juice Cocktail

1 cup orange juice

2 cups lemon-lime soda or club soda

Orange and lime slices, garnish

Directions: Combine cranberry juice cocktail and orange juice in a large punch bowl. Gently stir in soda (and vodka if you like) just before serving. Garnish with orange and lime slices.   Serve with a sprig of mint.

Makes about 15 (6-ounce) servings
