Achy Bone Blends
Ingredients for Blend #1:
2 ounces Carrier Oil
2 to 3 capsules of liquid vitamin E
20 drops Roman Chamomile
5 drops Black Pepper
Ingredients for Blend #2:
2 ounces Carrier Oil
2 to 3 capsules of liquid vitamin E
10 drops Roman Chamomile
10 drops Helichrysum
Carrier Oil Suggestions: Carrier oils that possess anti-inflammatory properties include Emu, Hemp Seed, Jojoba and Pomegranate Seed Oils. Although not a vegetable oil, Emu oil is said to possesses strong anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as a carrier oil.
Directions: Use a 3 oz bottle so you can roll bottle to blend carrier and EO's - Blend all oils together well and store in an airtight dark-colored sterol glass container. Gently massage into Achy joints using a small amount of oil. It is strongly recommended that you discuss proper massage techniques with your doctor. Depending on your situation, your doctor may advise you not to massage your joints. If you experience any discomfort, discontinue use and consult your medical practitioner.
Boo Boo Balm for Cuts and Scrapes
Ingredients:
3 ounces vegetable carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or infused oil such as calendula (infused oil of calendula can supply added therapeutic benefit).
1 ounce grated beeswax or beeswax pellets (Many herbal stores and health food stores sell pure beeswax.)
Several drops of vitamin E
40 drops lavender oil
40 drops tea tree oil
4 ounce wide-mouth jar
Directions: Place carrier oil and beeswax in a metal container ( I use a small mettle bowl dedicated to just making my homemade beauty products) and heat in a double boiler or a small pot partially filled with water ( put your bowl containing oil and wax into the pot w/water) and melt wax into the oil on med to low heat. Pour melted wax and oil into your 4 oz. jar let it cool until slightly set up but still not solid stir with a clean new Popsicle stick and add vitamin E and essential oils (if you add EO to hot oils and wax it will disperse into the air). Stir mixture again with the Popsicle stick. Close the jar and wait until the ointment has cooled before using.
Stuffy Nose Chest Balm
Ingredients:
3 ounces vegetable carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or infused oil such as calendula (infused oil of calendula can supply added therapeutic benefit).

15 drops Eucalyptus
13 drops Pine
2 drops Peppermint

For Minor Scraps, Scratches and Cuts
Introduction:
For small scraps, scratches and cuts make this easy recipe. This can be used on children over the age of 2 and the lavender blend helps calm them and kill a few germs. Note: This recipe isn't intended for serious cuts/scrapes or injuries.
Ingredients:
1 Cotton Ball
Witch Hazel - enough to saturate the cotton ball
1-2 drops Lavender
Directions: Saturating a cotton ball with witch hazel. Then, apply one drop of lavender to the saturated cotton ball. Since lavender aroma helps to calm, the aroma can be soothing. Then, apply to the minor cut/scrape or scratch - Apply a band aid if necessary.
Alternative Method: If you prefer, you can create a pre-blended bottle to have ready for those minor cuts and scrapes. Add 1 ounce of witch hazel to a clean glass bottle. Then, add 5-6 drops of lavender. Be sure to shake well prior to each use.
Aromatherapy Blend for Bruises
Ingredients:
1 ounce carrier oil such as Sweet Almond oil or Grapeseed oil
8 drops Helichrysum
Directions: Mix the Helichrysum into the carrier oil well. Apply lightly to bruises 1-2 times a day.
Menstrual Cramps Aromatherapy Blend
Ingredients:
1 ounce carrier oil such as sweet almond
15 drops Peppermint
10 drops Cypress
5 drops Lavender
Directions: Mix oils well in a clean, dark-colored glass container. Gently message a small amount into the abdominal area.
