My Story
The true inspiration for this site was an accidental poising by a professional exterminator that made me very ill. I had to sell my business, I got ridiculed by the conventional medical community and was then told (after a sever kidney problem) that I was indeed sick but the doctors did not know why! While I was on my journey back to find a solution to my health problems I found many wonderful people and things. I discovered herbs, fresh food, exercise, gardening, crafts and cooking abilities (that were probably always there – but too comfortable and spoiled to explore).
I found that many (that we considered) professionals are often lackadaisical in their jobs. They are not use to being challenged by conditions that they don't understand or people that recognize their deficiencies.
I found that we should always look for alternatives when we feel that we are being "conveyer belted " through the system. This is true whether it concerns our health our finances or our lives in general.
This all happened over a decade ago and let me tell you 10 years ago organic, make your own soap, and don't take so many pills were not a popular stance. Well, it seems that many have come to some of the same conclusions that I have and we now see organic food in the grocery stores, more natural beauty products, and a renaissance of being kind to our Mother Earth.
I was very ill and the medical community had no help for me (and many others as I came to find out). After many years of research I have found my way to leading a healthier life and hope to share it with the people that visit my site.
I have put up all of the information that I have found after logging thousands of hours of research for over a decade and hope that it will help others.

I didn't think of the poison when I got sick ‚ I just knew that I was so ill that I thought I was going to die. I went to many doctors and was tested for everything from lime disease to MS. The doctors finally came up with chronic fatigue syndrome and depression. If you knew me you would know that is so bogus. ¬They put me on Paxil (not a good idea)!! I called the doctor and told him I would have to quit taking the drug, as it was worse than the problems I already had. He agreed!
One night while working in my ceramic shop (trying to figure out what to do because I was so sick) a news broadcast came on. They had an investigative report on Dursban and the effects of this poison. Things can get kind of freaky as when I saw the show the container of poison was sitting on the TV.
I had been given a bottle of industrial strength Dursban by a local exterminator. I had been using it as instructed by the professional that gave it to me. There were no labels on the bottle other than the name Dursban and the company Dow Chemical. I had used this chemical for about 6 months (and thought it was safe as a professional had given it to me).
After I saw the broadcast, I took it in to the doctor and asked if this could possibly be my problem?? After running a few test and making a few calls he doctor agreed that it was indeed the problem but.... there was really no medical treatment. I was told that I would have to just live through the problem and that at this point I did indeed have a compromised immune system. The doctor actually told me that I was lucky to be alive after being closed up in a small building filled with a poison (that was never intended to be used inside). This particular type of Dursban was supposed to be buried under the ground.   I was also told that this poison stayed in your system and there were no real studies that could tell me how long or what the long-term effects were. Symptoms of this condition were: Migraine headaches, pain in muscles, fatigue, hormone imbalance, light headedness, sudden memory loss, numbness in my arms and legs, kidney problems, bladder infections and other annoying symptoms too numerous to list.
I was always so healthy and now I was getting the flu, earaches and several bouts with pneumonia. I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and am treating all of my problems holistically.
I was so sick I had to close my ceramic shop and sold the contents to help pay for doctors bills. Being self-employed I had no health insurance and now had a pre-existing condition. I started going to the library and using the Internet to do research and found a lot of information on poison exposure. I did not have the money for doctors and there was no help from the legal community. I was completely on my own. The first thing that I tried was health food and exercise. Then I started vitamin supplements, detoxifying herbs and lots of spring water. Results were not overwhelming but subtle and constant. After six months of starting a holistic approach I was starting to show signs of recovery. It took about two years before I stopped getting every virus and bacterial infection that came down the pike. I was given so many antibiotics before I found the holistic community that I now can only take one family as I am allergic to all but this one type. The doctor doesn't dare give it to me unless I am truly dieing, as he is afraid that I will become allergic to it also. It has been well over a decade now and I am glad to report that I am healthier than I ever thought I would be. I will always have to watch what I eat and what I use on my body and in my home, as I am sensitive to anything with chemicals in it. This is called chemical sensitivity.
